Fees & medical aid
Clear fees, with medical aid claims done for you
Sedation is billed separately from your dentist’s or doctor’s treatment. We accept all medical aids and offer cash rates when sedation isn’t covered.
All medical aids accepted
We work with all South African medical schemes and submit your sedation claim directly to your medical aid on your behalf.
Cash rates available
For patients without medical aid, or when your scheme doesn’t cover sedation. See the cash rates below.
Often more affordable than theatre
In-rooms sedation avoids hospital and theatre fees, which helps when medical aid doesn’t cover theatre.

How the time is calculated
The time is quoted for the sedation (anaesthetic) procedure, not for how long your dental or surgical treatment takes. It includes the pre-anaesthetic preparation and the time needed for you to wake up from the sedation.
Sedation doesn’t usually exceed 3 hours.
Good to know
- The sedation fee is separate from your dentist’s or doctor’s fee for the treatment itself.
- The cost depends on the sedation time, which includes preparation and waking up, not just the treatment itself. We’ll confirm it with you beforehand.
- Check with your medical aid whether your plan covers sedation for your procedure. We can help with the information they need.
